Maybelline Cherry Me (15) Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm - Review, Photos, Swatches

Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in 15 Cherry Me ($3.99 USD / 0.15oz or 4.4g) is a cherry red tinted lip balm. It does not have any shimmers.

Packaging: [3.5/4.0]

The big plastic tube at first seems too juvenile, but then I kind of started to like it. It is bright, and the fat letters are adorable. However, I still think the packaging is bulky.

Texture and Formulation: [3.7/4.0]

This lip balm is versatile. Apply it once and it leaves a cheer cherry red. You can dab on the balm, and it leaves the bare-est red tint (great for adding subtle color to the rest of your face!) Apply it more than once around, it gives you a brighter cherry red!

The formulation makes this balm strong. I have had it in my pocket all day, and my body heat did not melt this product. It could also be due to the large amount of plastic surrounding the plastic.

The smell is a little off in my opinion. It is a little plastic cherry smell with almost an attempt of fragrance-free? Does that even make sense?

Application: [3.8/4.0]

Cherry Me applies smoothly to my lips. It does not drag on, but I have experience other lip balms that glide on much smoother. The product does not feel oily or greasy either.

Effects: [3.6/4.0]

I have used this for four weeks. I am not sure if it has made it less visibly dry. I have been drinking extra water because it is winter. My lips have never experienced roughness, but I can say that after a few hours, it feels like my lips are a bit softer; the same with the claim of supple lips.

The wear time is about 3 hours. When the product is gone, my lips feel dry; and it is enough to be a subtle reminder for me to consciously take note of it.

My lips are very picky. Very. Most lipsticks make my lips peel, however this product doesn't do that!

If you have extra dry lips, these are not the products for you. The color will settle into the dry cracks/lines.

          - some with sensitive lips
          - those who do not like bulky packaging
          - very dry lips
          - looking for long wear

    1. Maybe...I have been trying my best not to eat it so I can't say about the taste. But maybe! I have a sensitive nose too, so that probably doesn't help haha
