Maybelline Barely Branded 24 Hour Color Tattoo Metal Eyeshadow - Review, Photos, and Swatches

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo
Metal Eyeshadow - 70 Barely Branded

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo Metal Eyeshadow in 70 Barely Branded ($6.99 USD / 0.14oz or 4g) is my new go to eyeshadow base to color. It is a warm, creamy beige with a metallic, frosted finish.

Packaging:

The eyeshadow is in a glass jar with a plastic screw on cap. There is a foam cover on the top of the cap to prevent the shadow from drying out. The only criticism I would give this is that the name is on the cover. So if you have too many of these different shadows, it could be easy to lose track of.

Texture and Formulation:

This shade is so versatile. Sheered out, it can be a great base for all sorts of colors; pack the color on the lid,  it can serve as an own eyeshadow. It can be easy to blend, but once dried, it won't budge. Those with oily lids may experience some creasing.

Application:

This product is creamy and soft. It applies easily without tugging; both with fingers or brush. I have worn this product for more than 14 hours, withOUT a primer, with NO creasing!

  3. I like these cream eye shadows and find that I get the longest wear if I don't add a primer .. they do crease on me a bit .. I do have oily skin :-(

    1. Hi Monica!

Aww...yeap, that's what I thought...but hey, a primer is always good anyways. Not just as a shadow, but also as another barrier for your skin :)

  7. I bet this looks great on you! I can't believe you got it to last that long! They don't tend last quite that long on me. Oh well, i have the pink one from this collection (my bf got it for my stocking, lol!) and i have barely beige from fall, and a couple other neutral ones. :)

  8. I am seriously in love with these shadows. I've got Tough as Taupe. It's a little matte for my liking, but it makes an awesome base for my shimmery shadows! I love your blog! Definitely giving it a follow:)
